Dr. Zohar Waisman, MD, FRCP(C) (Psychiatry / Catastrophic Impairment)

Dr. Waisman is a physician licensed to practice medicine in the province of Ontario. He is a Royal College certified subspecialist in forensic psychiatry, one of a few such experts practicing in Ontario. He is the Head of Neuropsychiatry and Geriatric Psychiatry at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre in Barrie and a Staff Psychiatrist at Ontario Shores Psychiatric Hospital in Whitby. Dr. Waisman is a consultant Forensic Psychiatrist at the Centre for Addiction & Mental Health and is an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Toronto. He teaches and mentors residents and fellows in forensic psychiatry and is also a member of the Ontario Review Board.

Dr. Waisman has extensive experience in objective evaluation in the context of personal injury litigation and in treating patients who suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder, mood disorder, chronic pain and brain injury. He has qualified as an expert in the field of psychiatry and forensic psychiatry at the Ontario and Superior Court levels.
